About Wagner Greens. Our Story, Mission & Founder Joe Wagner
Wagner Greens started with a simple concern—food safety. After repeated E. coli outbreaks linked to store-bought lettuce, we began questioning something most people take for granted: the safety and quality of the food we were feeding our family. We didn’t want uncertainty. We wanted control. So we decided to learn how to grow our own

Like most people, we were impatient at first. Traditional gardening felt slow, unpredictable, and intimidating. We wanted something reliable—something that worked. That’s when we discovered microgreens and sprouts. They grew in days, not months. They were fresh, clean, and grown right in front of us. For the first time, growing our own food felt practical, achievable, and empowering.
With a background in HVAC-R, understanding controlled environments, airflow, and system reliability came naturally. We applied that mindset to growing. We researched relentlessly, tested different methods, and refined every detail until the process became simple, consistent, and dependable. What started as a personal solution quickly became a passion.
Wagner Greens was built from that experience. We know what it feels like to want healthier food, to feel uncertain about store-bought produce, and to want something better for yourself and your family. Our mission is to make growing your own food easy, fast, and accessible—no matter your experience level.
Today, Wagner Greens helps people take control of their food by providing systems, seeds, and guidance designed for real life. Because everyone deserves the confidence of knowing exactly where their food comes from—and the ability to grow it themselves.
